Environmental & Occupational Toxicology
Accu-Chem Laboratories provides analytical and consulting services in clinical environmental and forensic toxicology. Accu-Chem has over 23 years of experience in providing reliable qualitative and quantitative analytical results to national and international clinical and forensic communities. The single purpose of the laboratory is to excel as a reliable scientific and medical resource for physicians, employers and the criminal justice system in the detection and analysis of toxic chemical exposure and controlled substance possession and use.
Obtaining an accurate patient history is the most important step to determine what tests to order. Many patients do not know the chemicals with which they have come in contact and this can be a problem for many physicians. Accu-Chem offers panels that include some of the most common and persistent chemical compounds the average person may encounter. If the patient is unsure as to what chemical exposure they have had, enlightening information may be found in the Manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), given the time and place of initial exposure. We recommend that the physician call our laboratory to consult with one of our professional staff if they need further information.
We offer flexible services to meet client specific needs in urine drug testing. Using industry recognized methodologies and procedures we provide screening and confirmation services. Legal credibility and defensibility of test results are insured through rigorous adherence to those methods and chain of custody procedures. Our results have, in every instance, withstood legal challenge.
To assist authorities in determinations of cause of death or impairment, we offer a full range of qualitative and quantitative testing of biological matrices for drugs and poisons. Because of our environmental and occupational expertise we include a broader range of industrial chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, etc in our screens as poisons. All of this testing is performed in a forensic manner using methodologies recognized by the scientific community and the legal system.
We analyze powders, liquids, syringes, etc. for the presence of scheduled compounds. This service can include quantitative analysis for the percent composition and total weight of actual drug.
